Tip 1

Recycle: An obvious one is to know what is recyclable and what isn’t. You need to know which bin or box each material needs to go into, so they aren’t mixed up. Here is a link which explains further:

Tip 2

Turn things off: As daft as it sounds, we use an enormous amount of energy leaving things on which makes our carbon footprint increase. Not only will it help the environment, it can decrease your energy bills, therefore saving you money.

Tip 3

Eat less meat: As well as turning your lights off, eating less meat (specifically red meat) can reduce your carbon footprint massively. This doesn’t have to mean every day, doing this for a couple of days a week could have a big impact.

Tip 4

Don’t waste food: Wasting food wastes money. 7.3 million tonnes of food are wasted in the UK each year. This waste contributes to the amount of Co2 in landfills.

Tip 5

Try and cut out plastic: We all know plastic is extremely bad for the environment and the animals living among us. Cutting it out on a day to day basis can help you become more ECO friendly.
